DB Quacks SQL Tutorial · Chapter 6

The SELECT-List Wizard of Oz

Wizard duck appears with a starry hat and wand. Behold! I have massive tables with 100 columns but only want specific ones! Sometimes exclude columns, sometimes rename them. Master flexible column wizardry!

Your task

Select all columns from the ducks table except the 'id' column, and rename 'species' to 'duck_type'. You will be manipulating the column selection and names.

Hint

Look for ways to exclude specific columns and rename others in your SELECT statement.

Expected result

A table showing all columns except id, with species renamed to duck_type.
